Baking Parties
Great fun for all
The idea for baking parties was born through many years of babysitting my nephews and nieces and baking with them. They loved to bake every time they visited me.
Baking parties run on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 4.30- 6.30pm.
Maximum number of children in total is 6.
The party is carried out in the shop, which is turned into a baking environment. Each child has their own workstation with all the necessary equipment. The first 45 minutes are spent preparing the buns. The children listen to instruction from me, and then do everything for themselves. Food hygiene rules are stressed and adhered to throughout the session. Once they have finished baking, they then can lick the bowl!
Whilst the buns are cooking the children enjoy a tea - party. Tea cakes, crumpets, bagels and toast are served. The children can help themselves to spreads. Juice is served with the meal and ice cream for dessert.
If there is any spare time whist the buns are cooling the children can play pass the parcel or musical bumps to their favourite cd.
Once the cakes are cooked the children go back to their workstations and decorate the buns. Each child goes home with 12 buns in a recycled biscuit tin.
Children should be aged from 7 years and upwards..
Hair should be tied back and no nail varnish or jewellery should be worn whilst cooking.
